1. What this website is

phukethirecar.com is a comparison and referral website operated by Drive Phuket. It lists rental cars offered by independent suppliers in Phuket and across Thailand, and it earns a commission when a visitor books through it. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

2. We are not the rental company

We do not own, insure, maintain or hand over any vehicle. When you book, a contract forms between you and the supplier, governed by that supplier's own rental agreement and by Thai law. Questions about mileage limits, fuel policy, insurance cover, damage liability, late return or the condition of a particular car are matters for the supplier, and its terms are the ones that decide them.

3. Prices and availability

Prices are shown in euro and come from a live feed at the moment you search. Availability in Phuket moves quickly, particularly between November and April, so a car shown in a list may already be taken by the time you open the booking page. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. A booking exists only when the supplier confirms it.

We take reasonable care that listings are accurate, but we do not control what suppliers publish. Where a price or a specification is obviously wrong, the supplier may decline the booking, and we will not be liable for that.

4. What you need in order to drive here

Thailand drives on the left, and its law requires an International Driving Permit alongside your national licence. You are responsible for holding valid documents, for meeting the supplier's minimum age and licence history, and for being fit to drive. A supplier may refuse to release a car to a driver who cannot produce what the agreement requires, and in that case the refund position is set by the supplier's own cancellation rules.

5. Changes, cancellations and refunds

Amending or cancelling a booking is done with the supplier through the booking platform you used, not through us. Many Phuket listings carry free cancellation, and the card for each car states its own terms before you commit. Because we never hold your money, we cannot issue a refund ourselves. What we can do is help you reach the right contact, and we will.

6. Using the site properly

You may use phukethirecar.com to research and book a rental for yourself or for people travelling with you. You may not scrape the listings, resell the data, attempt to interfere with the site, or copy its text and images onto another site. The wording, layout, photography and page structure here are ours and are protected by copyright.

7. Reviews you submit

If you send a review through the form on this site, you confirm it describes your own experience and you allow us to publish it. We may decline anything abusive, commercial or unrelated to renting a car in Phuket.

8. Liability

We provide this website as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of error, and we are not liable for losses arising from a supplier's acts or omissions, from a vehicle, from a road incident, or from a decision you take on the strength of information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Links to other sites

Booking takes you to a partner platform, and some pages link to maps, tourism information or supplier websites. We do not control those destinations and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise this page as the service changes. The version in force is the one published here on the day you use the site, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
